What to expect…

At PLUNJ, individuals move freely between our communal saunas (194°), cold pools (50°), bucket showers, and lounge. While not guided, an host frequently visits to throw water (löyly) on the sauna rocks, serve complimentary electrolyte water and tea, and overall to ensure a delightful experience. Guests book a 60-minute spot in a public group (up to 8 participants), or secure the whole space for themselves with private group (up to 20).

Take the PLUNJ in Salt Lake

Cold plunging is more than just a thrill—it’s a proven way to support your body and mind. Whether you’re looking to recover after a tough workout or boost your mood, cold therapy offers lasting benefits that go beyond the initial chill.

Embrace your inner SISU— a Finnish word, signifying “the extraordinary willpower to dive in despite overwhelming adversity”. What better way to unite a group of family, friends, or even strangers than through a shared, difficult experience of a few seconds to a few minutes dipping in the large, communal pool?!

Cold plunges help reduce inflammation, soothe sore muscles, and speed up recovery. The cold water causes blood to flow to your core, delivering oxygen and nutrients to where they’re needed most. It can also support your immune system, keeping you stronger and healthier over time.

Dipping into cold water sharpens focus and builds mental resilience. The rush of cold stimulates endorphins and adrenaline, lifting your mood and giving you a natural energy boost. Over time, regular cold exposure can help reduce stress and improve your overall sense of well-being.

Pronounce it ‘Sow-nah’ or ‘Saw-nah’, Just Enjoy the Heat

The sauna is a time-tested gateway to a plethora of physical, mental, and social benefits. By wrapping yourself in warmth, you can ease tension, improve circulation, and detoxify your body while calming your mind.

Demographics melt away in the sauna. People are uniquely chill, despite the heat. Removed from distractions (phones, TVs, technology) it’s a time to just be. Often, wonderful conversations and connections result.

Heat helps loosen stiff muscles, increase flexibility, and reduce tension. Sweating in the sauna also aids in detoxification by flushing toxins from your body. Improved blood flow from heat exposure delivers vital nutrients, leaving your body refreshed and ready to perform.

The heat from a sauna creates a calming environment that reduces stress and promotes relaxation. It encourages the release of feel-good hormones like serotonin, leaving you in a better mood. With regular use, heat therapy can improve sleep quality and give you a mental reset.
